hi - i'm new to research and i can see that Duvolle have some great L4 R&D agents that currently aren't available to me - how can i increase my standing with their R&D division? is it the same for that as with all other standings, in that i just need to run combat missions for them?
thanks all!

brilliant, thanks for all this info!
one last question for clarification - while i'm running reserach missions for an agent, does that also serve to up my standing?

one last question - if it proves difficult to get my corp standing up, can i quit and join a newb corp to get the standings to raise? if they do, and i rejoin my old corp, will they drop again?

You are confusing something here. Your player corp standings are 100% irrelevant. It's YOUR PERSONAL standing with the NPC corp/faction that matter.
thank you, i evidently HAD misunderstood - i thought i read in your post that it was a mix of personal & corp standing, i'm evidently wrong - so i JUST need to get my personal standing up with the agent, and i don't have to worry about my corp standing?

It's your personal standing with the R&D corp (Duvolle Labs) and your personal standing with the faction (Gallente Federation) that matter.
P.S. As I see I did specifically state in the example found in my first post.
ok, i'm still a little confused - i have been diligently running missions and gotten my personal standing with the agent i'm using up to 5.7, but when i look at the standings required for higher level R&D agents (level 3) it says: "You need a minimum effective corp stading of at least 1.50, in addition to an effective faction, corp or personal standing of at least 3.50"
i had thought that running missions would/should increase my corp standing but i checked both my corporation > politics > standings > liked by screen, this NPC corp (Duvolle) aren't mentioned at all - and when i check that Corp's tab, the relationship is specified as 0.0
what do i need to do to get my corp's standing up with this NPC corp, as several evenings of grinding missions doesn't seem to have done anything, except for my personal standing.
i mentioned this once before, but would it help if i quit my player corp and rejoined one of the newb, NPC corps? not sure this is relevant, but I'm Gallente and my corp has 1.10 with Gallente

Corp standing in the above quote refers to your standing with Duvolle corp. Once you hit 3.5 you should be all set (although you might have to relog once before the agent will recognize the new standing and speak with you). You can check your standing with the corp via the relationship tab in the Duvolle corp info and it should increase after every mission.
thank you so, so much - the verbage IS definitely a little confusing - sorry to have kept asking the same question over adn over!
